Find Your Authentic voice with John El-Jor
As a teacher, John’s mission is simple yet powerful: to bridge the gap between vocal possibility and true self-expression. By equipping you with a diverse set of technique-based tools, he helps you build a vocal arsenal that reflects your unique voice and artistic vision.
John earned his certificate in Musical Theatre Voice Pedagogy while completing his BFA at Penn State, studying under renowned experts Dr. Wendy LeBorgne and Raymond Sage. He has since deepened his expertise through advanced training in Estill Voice Training (Levels I & II) and Broadway Vox, studying under Dr. Joey Harrell and Jared Trudeau. Alongside these, John continues to explore Communication Sciences, Speech-Language Pathology, and anatomy—bringing a rare blend of science and artistry to every lesson, ensuring healthy, sustainable, and expressive vocal technique.
In his private studio, John works with students at all levels—from Broadway professionals and recording artists to regional performers and those who sing simply for joy.
John also offers an incredible college audition prep program. His students have successfully been accepted into premiere BFA musical theatre programs nationwide. Many report that working directly with John—who is actively working in the industry and brings expert technical knowledge—gave them a clear advantage over large, impersonal training programs. His individualized, personable coaching reduces stress and builds confidence, helping students excel at a much higher rate.
In addition to private lessons, John serves as the Musical Theatre and Pop/Rock voice specialist at San Ramon Academy of Music, bringing professional insight to every session.
